Final Masthead Design
Our group decided to rid of the box for the masthead as we felt it was too conflicting with the images on the front covers and decided it was simply unneeded. The logo and ‘puff’ however looked very flat, bland and unpolished when removed so the following effects were applied to them to fix these issues:
Drop Shadow
Inner Shadow
Outer Glow
Bevel
Emboss
Gradient Overlay
These adjustments made it easier for the masthead to stand out much more clearly, and provided an official and refined design, allowing it to be of clear, vivid satisfaction and therefore worthy of being the final, complete design for the masthead that will be used for the magazine.
