This next set of developments takes a set of appropriate fonts and putting them on top of a black background in order to get a vague idea of how it will look and whether or not it will work well. The font colours were also manipulated and altered in order to see which could connote the Soul genre best, and yet stick out really well from the background. The silver and grey fonts were quickly disposed of from being taken any further, as although they were able to stand out decently, they seemed incredibly dull and boring to use, and did not quite give off warm and passionate sensations and ambience that I was looking for. The brown font however did do this, although it wouldn’t manage to stick out incredibly well from the background and also seemed somewhat boring. I believed the last two ideas present on the image happened to be the most successful as not only did it transmit the Soul genre well, it also stands out remarkably well from the background (although could do with less shadowing and perhaps an outline of some sort). So therefore I will take forward the ideas of the golden fonts, and develop upon them in order to progress the ideas and be one step closer to finalising them.
